Decorative Accessories
Living spaces may be of brick and morter, mud or fabrics but that is not all there is to define them. One of the items that make spaces personal and definable, are accessories. Just like jewelry on humans, accessories are a touch of our personalities in the living spaces. With them, we get to influence people’s emotions when they get into the space and leave lasting impressions. Who does not want to impress? Interior design accessories have to be chosen carefully. They have to collaborate with the architectural features of the space and the over all style.
Some unique accessories that you could consider are:
Art
Ensure that the colors of the piece of art and choice of frame (if not frameless), are in sync with the existing color palette of the space. Place is where it can easily be admired. On top of a couch, on a shelf, on top of a fireplace or in the entry way. Place it in such a way that guests will not help but notice it and its beauty.
Chandelier
There are a variety of chandeliers that can be choose based on their shapes, bulbs, light hues and size. Make sure that the chosen artificial light actually enhances visibility in the space and aesthetics. Also, consider the ratio of your chandelier to your space. Big chandeliers are meant for large spaces.

Lamps
Floor lamps are perfect for night reading on a couch at the corner of your living room and night breast feeding in a nursery. Table lamps are more of statement makers on bedside tables, on entry way console and study desk. Wall lamps are wonderful for breaking symmetry when paired with a long pedant lamp on either sides of a bed or couch.
Place them away from activities to avoid being knocked over.
Plant planters
Get creative. Wall planters are a wonderful way of lifting people’s eyes from the floor. Large floor planters are statement makers. They come in different materials like concrete, clay, plastic, fiber glass, ceramic among others.
Decorative objects
Accessorize your space with random object that blend with your style. Antique clocks, mirrors, glass gems, trays with scented candles on them, unique bowls, woven baskets, antique carts and more. Be careful not to clutter your space with all these objects. Choose the most appropriate and place them where they can be admired.
